Backed by 16 years of experience in roll manufacturing Modern Industries started its Forge Division under the name Kalra Forgings & Alloys Pvt. Ltd. in the year 2002 at Patiala, Punjab. which is combined with a policy of continouous investment in the domestic as well as internatioal market. It has successfully developed a variety of forgings for Steel Industry, Material Handling Equipment, Paper Industry, Mining & Rock Processing Equipment, Locomotive and Gear Box Components. To satisfy its diverse clients, Forging Unit is fully independent in terms of machining, sophisticated test, measuring instruments and manned by qualified and experienced workforce to ensure high quality.

Quality Assurance
Our Quality system is accredited to the internationally recogonized quality standard BSI - ISO 9001:2000 As a minimum, cast analysis, hardness ultrasonic and dimensional assessments are carried out, but a whole range of supplementary special products and process checks are also used. This recognition of a strong quality assurance ethic is a clear reminder of our commitment to provide customers with a high integrity product at all times and remains an important keystone of our business policy.

Technical Services
Our Techincal department has a very wide range of experience & expertise in the manufacture and performance of cast and steel rolls for all applications. This includes the facility for the detailed analysis of any mill in order to specify the optimum material for the application. All Roll material specifications and production methods are controlled by our technical department.

Our Mobile technical services engineer provides constant feedback of rolls in services as well as providing extensive on site testing and inspection services to customers on request.
